Jens Puttfarcken and Marcus Eckermann to head the Chinese and British sales organisations respectively
Personnel change at the top of Porsche Deutschland GmbH: Alexander Pollich (51), previously Managing Director of Porsche Cars Great Britain, will become the new Managing Director of the German sales organisation on July 15, 2018. His predecessor, Jens Puttfarcken (53), will be taking over as the Managing Director of Porsche China and Porsche Hong Kong from July 1, 2018. Pollich will be succeeded in Great Britain on July 15, 2018 by Marcus Eckermann (50), previously Managing Director of Porsche’s sales organisation for Central and Eastern Europe.
“Alexander Pollich, Jens Puttfarcken and Marcus Eckermann have gained many years of experience in our sales organisation. They will continue to successfully develop the Porsche brand in these important markets”, explains Detlev von Platen, Member of the Executive Board responsible for Sales and Marketing at Porsche AG. “Giving our sales managers the opportunity to experience different jurisdictions and develop ensures that we achieve our strategic objectives and that expertise is shared.”
Alexander Pollich has been head of the British sales organisation since the start of 2018 following more than four years in the same role at Porsche Cars Canada. Before that, he was Vice President Sales Network Management and Development. Jens Puttfarcken, who was at the top of the German sales company for three years, previously worked at Porsche as an After Sales Manager, Customer Relations Manager and Sales Manager for Porsche subsidiaries around the world. Marcus Eckermann has spent ten years as Managing Director of Porsche Central and Eastern Europe, prior to which he worked in various sales positions at Porsche AG.
