The ‘Bourse des Véhicules Anciens’ in the Spa Casino is definitely not the largest oldtimer show in Belgium. In contradiction with other classic car shows, this is a 1 day show. That’s of course one of the reasons it won’t attract that much exhibitors, nor visitors. On the other hand, don’t let this disappoint you to bring a visit next year.
Despite the name of the show, traditionally you won’t find too much classic cars in the Casino. It is more a place for collectors of memorabilia, pictures or literature. The exhibitors have literally hundreds and hundreds of manuals, catalogs, pictures, books or posters piled up on their tables. Even though there aren’t that much tables, you probably will find some interesting stuff. And more important, there’s a big chance you don’t need to dig to deep in your wallet to call it yours.
Next to that, the Classic Car Show in Spa is traditionally a place where some of the old Belgian racers catch up with each other. A unique opportunity to have a chat with Belgian legends like Yvette Fontaine or Jean-Pierre Gaban. Especially the latter is quite a name for Porsche aficionado’s as he used to race one of the only 21 Porsche 911 SCRS that left the factory.
