Biography of Franz Konrad

Franz Konrad was born in Graz, Austria. From his early youth on, Franz Konrad had a strong passion for motorsport and soon he found out he was a talented driver himself. In his race career Franz Konrad won among others the 1983 German Formula 3 Championship, the 1993 Nürburgring 24H in a Porsche 911 and the 1976 European GT Championship. Franz Konrad is probably best known as the founder of Konrad Motorsport. Since the start of Konrad Motorsport in 1976, the team managed to grow into one of the best race-teams in Germany with many international successes, like the Porsche Mobil1 Supercup, and the Porsche Carrera Cup. Franz Konrad was was also designer of the Konrad KM-011, a Group C sportscar using a Lamborghini engine.
