1997 RUF CTR-2
A 1997 RUF CTR-2 is a rare sight. Only 16 of them have ever been produced. And it is even rarer that a RUF CTR-2 comes up for sale. This car wass sold new in Spain in 1997 and sold to the president of the Porsche Club of Japan before returning to Europe, to its current owner in Great Britain. It shows 64,800 km on the odometer. If you ever considered buying a lightning fast car, this might be a opportunity. But remember there will be strong competition at the Artcurial auction during the Retromobile classic car show for this extremely rare bird. And next to that, be prepared to dig deep in your wallet.
1985 Porsche 962C
Hard to say what is going to happen with the Porsche 962C in the Artcurial Auction. At first it is far from certain that a car like this will be sold. Not everyone is interested in a Porsche 962 that is a full-blood race car. This Porsche 962/112 was delivered to the Fitzpatrick team in 1985. That same year the car was damaged during tests and had to be repaired by the factory. In 1986 the Fitzpatrick team finished 10th overall in the Le Mans 24 Hours. Porsche 962-112 was then sold to the Dauer Racing Team who entered it in the 1987 World Endurance Championship. In 2014/2015 it was restored to a high standard by renowned French specialist, Courage Classic at Le Mans and has the 1986 Le Mans livery. And of course Porsche 962-112 is eligible for the Historic Group C racing and is a great entry ticket for the Le Mans Classic later this year.
