Over 50 years ago, 1964 to be correct, the Porsche 911 was presented to the public as the successor of the Porsche 356.
Even though the car had some hard times in the late 70s as the Porsche 928 was supposed to replace the 911.
Due to the demand of customers , the board of directors at Porsche decided not to discontinue the production.
Probably one of the best decisions ever made, not only for the factory but for the customers and fans too.
It is no secret to tell that even a blind man can recognise the forms of a Porsche 911, no matter if that’s a early short wheel base car, or a brand new Porsche 991 model. The DNA of the 1964 Porsche 911 is still apparent, even though lots of innovative and technological improvements have been made. Yes, there has been an evolution in desig.n too. There’s even some great differences in what the car looked like over the years. But nevertheless, the design of 1964 still stands as a rock, and all evolutions of later Porsche 911 models are just a small change to the predecessor model.
No better way to prove that, as in a animation that shows all models of the Porsche 911. Have fun with the Porsche 911 evolution.
