Grand Prix de l’Age d’Or 2015

Grand Prix de l'Age d'Or 2015

In 1964, Serge Pozzoli and Jacques Potherat and a handful of enthusiasts were the driving force behind the Coupes de l’Age d’Or, the first event for historic racing cars. It was the curtain-raiser for the F1 Grand Prix de l’Automobile de France on the Rouen-les-Essarts circuit. Renamed the Grand Prix de l’Age d’Or it moved to the Linas-Montlhery circuit where, at the end of the 80s, it became the Grand Prix de l’Age d’Or Lanvin under the Peter Auto banner.

The Grand Prix de L’Age D’Or 2015 was staged 5-7 June at the Dijon-Prenois circuit in Dijon, France. Under a hellish burning sun, the , the 51st edition of the Grand Prix de l’Age d’or was a huge succes with lots of visitors and full race grids.   The battles fought at the race track were not as legendary as the one between Gilles Villeneuve and Rene Arnoux in 1979 in a F1 race, but that’s not exactly what one would expect in a historic car race with some multi-million Euro worth cars.
