Great line up of Porsches

One of the major open houses kept as a side-event to the Los Angeles Literature and Toy show is without any doubt the European Collectibles open house in Costa Mesa. Exact as the previous years, Babcock Street in Costa Mesa was crowded with familiar faces, as most of them took their car after the Lit and Toy show at the LAX Hilton and drove south to Costa Mesa, many of them arriving too early as the gates are still closed.

As soon as the gates open, the crowd comes in and enjoy an enormous variety of early Porsches. From the rarest of the rare Carrera models to the more common Porsches 356 B and C, name it and you’ll find it. No matter whether you are looking for a concours car and trailer queen or a daily driver, you might find it at the European Collectibles.

Next to the amazing amount of great cars, the hospitality offered at European Collectibles is famous too. Soft-drinks, hamburgers and taco’s are offered to the hundreds of visitors for free. Too bad the weather gods weren’t with us, and a heavy rainshower spoiled the fun after a while, many people leaving the premises early.

Too bad one can’t control the weather, but despite the rain, it was definitely worth the ride to Costa Mesa and back to Los Angeles. See you next year guys and thanks again for the warm welcome and hospitality.
