On the occasion of the 70th birthdays of Jacky Ickx and his good friend Eddy Merckx, the ex Tour de France and Worldchampion cyclist, an exhibition was organised to celebrate this 2 extra-ordinary belgian champions. Both men achieved results nearly impossible to imagine, both became champions in a different sport discipline, and both were the best of their era. World Champions.
The exhibition of 2 belgian sport symbols was organised in the immediate proximity of another world-famous symbol : the Atomium. This book shows the memorabilia, cars , trophies and pictures of different collections that were on display in the exhibtion to tell the visitor the life of Jacky Ickx, nicknamed Mr Le Mans for his 6time victory in the worlds thoughest endurance race the 24h of Le Mans, from his early childhood all the way to his achievements in the rally sport at the end of his tremendous sports career.
