3rd edition of the Nieuwpoort Drivers days another succes.
The Nieuwpoort Drivers Days were in it’s 3rd edition yet now in 2019. After the inaugural edition in 2017, the 2 day event in Nieuwpoort at the Belgian Coast had to cope with changing weather conditions. But that didn’t scare the competitors on the Classic Rally that took place on Sunday.
All participants had a great tour in the Belgian coastal region, over picturesque roads. All classic cars with an age of at least 25 years are allowed to participate. With a rather strong Porsche population in Belgium, it is no surprise there were some outstanding cars in the start field. Among the Porsches in the rally, we noticed a few Porsche 356. Of course several Porsche 911s representing some of the history of the Porsche 911 took part too. And the Porsche 914 that is celebrating 50th anniversary in 2019 was represented too.
For the visitors that could not follow the rally, the organisation had a small display in petto. With a Porsche Carrera GT and a wonderful Porsche 935 in the legendary Martini Livery, fans of Porsche supercars definitely had 2 cars that were worth the attention.
