First Open House in the new warehouse for Sierra Madre Collection.
Recently Sierra Madre Collection moved from Pasadena to a brandnew warehouse in Los Angeles. It was a few years ago we visited the Sierra Madre Collection Open House. The move to the new location was a unique opportinity to bring another visit to the open house. So on our way back from the California Porsche Restorations open house to the hotel, we made a small detour and yes it was worth it. Even though we arrived rather late on the open house we were immediately convinced we made the right decision to come visit the Sierra Madre Collection Open House.
We don’t know how they managed to do, but for a block long the Colorado Blvd in Los Angeles was turned into a giant Porsche only parking lot for the visitors of the open house. Due to our late arrival, the parking wasn’t full, and some were leaving on our arrival. Nevertheless, quite some people walking around the Porsches of different ages. All of them enjoying the sunny weather, chatting and laughing. In the warehouse a local brewery served some beer. Coupons were given to the visitors for food that one could pickup in some restaurants on Colorado Blvd on walking distance from the Sierra Madre warehouse.
We were told the streets were crowded and the parking was full earlier, so we’ll grab the opportunity next year to visit the Sierra Madre Collection open house again. We are convinced there will even be more going on.
