Porsche – Die Serienfahrzeuge von den Anfängen bis heute

The equation Porsche = 911 has long since ceased to be true. At the latest since the switch from air-cooled to water-cooled engines, Porsche offers much more.
Since the first car bearing the name Porsche got its registration June 8 1948,  an unprecedented variety of models has developed. Obviously the Porsche family today consists not only of Porsche 911s, but also off-roaders, four-door models like thePanamera, small SUVs, and mid-engine sports cars like the Boxster and Cayman.

The author, Joachim M. Köstnick lists all the various models, from the very first Porsche 356s made in Gmünd, all the way to the current full-electric Porsche Taycan. Even the less known models like the Porsche 597 Jagdwagen, and the Porsche 356 Carrera Abarth are listed, even though one could say these aren’t real series production cars. But who can object to too much information when it comes to Porsche. Well, maybe too much information arent’t the correct words.

The author describes the different models in a very brief way. One paragraph per model is about the attention they get. So this is not the book you can see as an encyclopedia.  But that’s not what one would expect either, at a price of only 16,95 Euros. We would say, give it a try, and you never know you might learn something. Or at least, you might discover a model you’ve never heard of.
