Cover Porsche Speedster Editors Edition

To many, a Porsche 356 Speedster is one of the most mythical cars ever made in Zuffenhausen. Numerous books have been written about that specific model. However, there is another model bearing the same name that deserves a  look deep inside it’s history too : the Porsche 911 Speedster.

The Porsche 911 Speedster was first introduced to the world at the 1987 Frankfurt Motor Show. Those lucky enough to belong to the chosen few, were able to pick up their 911 Speedster in Zuffenhausen just over 2 years later. Since then just 4 Porsche 911 Speedster model rows were built.

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Porsche 911 Speedster, the author Andreas Gabriel took a deep dive into the history of the Porsche 911 Speedster. He spent hours and hours researching documents in the Porsche Archives. He interviewed engineers ,  designers and people involved in the manufacturing process of any of the Porsche 911 Speedster model rows.

“Porsche 911 Speedster – Editors Edition 1989 – 2011” is the final result of all the efforts of Andreas Gabriel. Almost 400 pages filled with detailed history and statistics. Numerous pictures and illustrations, many of them never published before, accompany the bi-lingual text (German / English). For each model  of the Porsche 911 Speedster, all technical data is included, together with a list of chassis numbers and the country they were originally delivered too.

This book might soon become the reference to anyone who needs to know more about a Porsche 911 Speedster. The book is limited to 997 numbered copies. Printed on high quality paper and stored in a hard cover, decorated with an illustration of the rear view of a Porsche 911 Speedster. Don’t hesitate. Just great.
