The 2025 Essen Motor Show once again demonstrated its importance as one of Europe’s major automotive events, bringing together performance cars, tuning culture, motorsport exhibits, and classic vehicles. Held from 29 November to 7 December 2025 at Messe Essen, with a special Preview Day on 28 November, the show attracted a wide range of enthusiasts, professionals, and collectors from across the continent.

Approximately 500 exhibitors from more than twenty countries filled nine halls throughout the venue. Over the course of ten days, more than 200,000 visitors attended, reaffirming the show’s strong appeal. Each hall focused on a different theme, creating a clear and engaging structure for visitors. The Classic & Prestige Salon presented historic vehicles, youngtimers, and well-preserved sports cars. The Performance & Racing hall showcased modern high-performance models and motorsport engineering. The Tuning & Lifestyle area, home to the popular tuningXperience, displayed some of the most imaginative custom builds of the year. Meanwhile, the motorsport halls featured cars and teams preparing for the upcoming 2025 racing season.

A major attraction at this year’s event was the German premiere of the Ford Mustang GTD, an extreme, track-oriented interpretation of the Mustang. Its presence generated significant interest thanks to its aerodynamic design and motorsport-inspired features. Manufacturers, tuning companies, and engineering firms used the show to introduce new models, prototypes, and high-performance projects. Racing teams also used the opportunity to reveal their latest vehicles and designs for the new season.

The tuningXperience remained one of the most popular sections, featuring around 150 private exhibitors. Among the standout builds were a Volkswagen Beetle fitted with a 612-horsepower Tesla electric powertrain and a highly modified 1,700-horsepower Ford Mustang known as “HELLENOR,” equipped with a twin-turbo V8. These projects reflected the creativity, technical skill, and diversity that define the European tuning scene.

In contrast to the loud and energetic tuning halls, the Classic & Prestige Salon offered a more refined atmosphere. Rare models from Ferrari, Porsche, Aston Martin, Mercedes-Benz, and Maserati were displayed in pristine condition. A Maserati Mistral 4000 drew particular praise and was recognized for its exceptional design and preservation.

Beyond the vehicles, the show embraced its cultural role. Influencers, content creators, and well-known automotive personalities made appearances, adding excitement and media attention. Motorsport fans enjoyed simulators, racing exhibits, and direct interactions with teams and drivers.

The 2025 Essen Motor Show successfully blended heritage, innovation, performance, and creativity, offering visitors a vivid snapshot of contemporary automotive culture and its ongoing evolution.
