We don’t feel the need to explain what the Spa Six Hours race is. All of you know about it, and even more, look forward to the next edition from the moment the checkered flag fell down over the previous one. The Spa Six Hours is more than just a classic race. It is a phenomenon, almost a legend. The Spa Six Hours is a prestigious meeting of several hundred historic racing cars reviving the heydays of racing on the famous Spa-Francorchamps circuit. The Spa Six Hours is a 4-day spectacle with dynamic races, including the mythical Six Hours endurance race on the track. In the paddock, visitors enjoy entertainment and action, good enough to fascinate all of you. In just a few words, the Spa Six Hours is a weekend to embrace, and the place to be to enjoy classic racing to the fullest.
The flagship race is definitely the one that gave its name to the event, Spa Six Hours Endurance. The race starts Saturday 1st October between 15.55hrs and finishes at 21.55hrs. Traditionally the race has a crowded startgrid. and that’s the least you can say about this year’s entry-list. The last few years, the Ford GT40 dominated the race. And with the 19 Ford GT40s in the race, we don’t see any reason why that would be different this year.
To make the entry list even more impressive: how about 10 Jaguar E Types 8 Shelby Cobras, 8 Ford Mustangs, 8 Porsche 911s, and a whole bunch of other classic cars? But next to the flagship race, you can enjoy some good racing in other races too. The Masters have 4 races: Masters Raving Legends, Masters Sports Car Legends, Masters Endurance Legends, and Masters Gentlemen Drivers & Masters pre-66 Touring cars.
Furthermore, you’ll find the cars on the tracks from different periods of motorsports in the HGPCA Race for Pre 66 Grand Prix Cars, the Woodcote Trophy & Stirling Moss Trophy, The Pre-War Sports Cars, and Historic Formula Junior.
