Porsche continues to expand its electric vehicle portfolio with the introduction of the Cayenne S Electric, a new addition to the upcoming fully electric Cayenne lineup. Positioned between the standard Cayenne Electric and the high-performance Turbo model, the S variant aims to strike an ideal balance between everyday comfort and unmistakable Porsche performance.
Strong performance from a dual-motor Setup
The Cayenne S Electric features a sophisticated dual-motor system that drives both the front and rear axles, providing all-wheel-drive capability and impressive traction in a wide range of conditions.

Together, the electric motors deliver 536 horsepower under normal operation, with output increasing to 657 horsepower when Launch Control is activated. This surge of power allows the Cayenne S Electric to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.6 seconds, placing it firmly among the quickest SUVs in its class. Top speed is electronically limited to approximately 250 km/h (155 mph).
Despite its strong performance credentials, the Cayenne S Electric is designed to remain comfortable and usable as a daily driver, maintaining the versatility that has made the Cayenne one of Porsche’s most successful models.
High-performance electric platform
The new model is built on Porsche’s advanced electric architecture, featuring two permanent-magnet synchronous motors and a performance-focused all-wheel-drive system. The setup emphasizes rear-biased power delivery, helping the Cayenne S Electric retain the engaging driving dynamics associated with the brand.

Energy is supplied by a large high-voltage battery that supports ultra-fast DC charging at up to 400 kW. Under optimal conditions, this allows the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in well under 20 minutes, making longer journeys easier and reducing charging stops.
Regenerative braking technology also plays an important role in efficiency. The system is capable of recovering substantial energy during deceleration, feeding it back into the battery and extending driving range.
Sporty design with distinctive details
Visually, the Cayenne S Electric maintains the bold proportions of the new electric Cayenne family while adding subtle design cues that emphasize its sporty character. These details include unique exterior accents, distinctive wheel designs, and model-specific styling elements that set the S apart from the standard version while stopping short of the more aggressive look of the Turbo variant.

Inside the cabin, Porsche offers a wide range of personalization options. Drivers can choose from different interior materials, trim finishes, and color combinations, allowing each Cayenne S Electric to reflect the owner’s individual taste.
The sweet spot in the electric Cayenne range
The Cayenne S Electric is designed to sit at the heart of the lineup. While the base model focuses on efficiency and everyday usability and the Turbo version targets maximum performance, the S variant blends the best of both worlds.
With its powerful drivetrain, advanced charging technology, and signature Porsche driving feel, the Cayenne S Electric promises to be an appealing choice for enthusiasts who want a high-performance electric SUV without sacrificing comfort or practicality.
Continuing the Cayenne legacy
Since its original debut, the Cayenne has played a crucial role in Porsche’s global success. The introduction of the Cayenne S Electric marks another major step in the model’s evolution, bringing the iconic SUV firmly into the era of electrification while preserving the driving excitement that defines the brand.
