Porsche will take on the 2026 running of the 12 Hours of Sebring with a distinctive new look, as the factory Porsche Penske Motorsport team unveils a special Mobil 1-themed livery on its Porsche 963 prototypes. The design celebrates a long-standing partnership that has played a key role in the brand’s endurance racing success. And we all hope Porsche will add another victory to their already impressive list of wins at the Sebring 12 Hours.
Tribute to a lasting partnership
The collaboration between Porsche and ExxonMobil dates back to 1996 and has grown into one of motorsport’s most successful technical partnerships. Over the years, the relationship has contributed not only to victories on track but also to advancements that influence Porsche’s road cars. The special livery at Sebring highlights this shared history and the continuous push for innovation.
Inspired by a 1990s icon
The appearance of the Porsche 963 pays homage to the legendary Porsche 911 GT1 from the late 1990s. That car, which competed at Le Mans in 1996 wearing Mobil 1 colors, marked the beginning of the collaboration between the two brands. The Sebring livery reinterprets that design with a modern touch. A clean white base is combined with bold red and blue accents, creating a look that blends heritage with contemporary prototype styling. The result is both nostalgic and striking, ensuring the cars stand out on track.

Strong form heading into Sebring
Porsche Penske Motorsport arrives at Sebring with confidence following a strong start to the season. The team secured victory at the 24 Hours of Daytona, putting them in a leading position in the championship standings. Both factory-entered Porsche 963 cars are expected to be competitive at Sebring, one of the most demanding endurance races on the calendar. The circuit’s rough surface and challenging conditions will test both performance and reliability.
A prototype built for modern endurance racing
The Porsche 963 represents the latest evolution of the brand’s top-level endurance racing machinery. Competing in the GTP class, the hybrid prototype combines a powerful twin-turbo V8 engine with advanced hybrid technology and aerodynamics. This blend of cutting-edge engineering and proven racing expertise continues Porsche’s legacy in endurance competition, while also serving as a platform for future innovation.
Honoring heritage while chasing victory
With its special Mobil 1 livery, Porsche is not only celebrating a historic partnership but also reinforcing its connection to past racing achievements. Sebring provides the perfect stage for this tribute, given its status as one of endurance racing’s most iconic events. As the race unfolds, the Porsche 963 will carry both history and ambition, aiming to add another chapter to an already remarkable legacy.
