TAC Rally Tielt

The TAC Rally was the 3rd race in the Belgian Rally Championship. At the start of the first stints, fog in the area of Tielt diminished the visibility a lot. Nevertheless the drivers immediately pushed the pedal to the metal. All drivers did their uttermost best to drive just that little faster as their opponents. Vincent Verschueren dominated in a Skoda RS. Tim van Parijs was  on 4th place in his Porsche 997 GT3. This made him the first Porsche after the start of the Rally.

After 8 stints in the rally, the same leader at the top of the classification : Vincent Verschueren with an advantage of over 14 seconds to the 2nd  Kris Princen, who drove a fantastic race in his Skoda Fabia RS. Wonder while, as Kris Pincer was recovering from a broken rib.  Tim Van Parijs won 1 position and climbs to the 3rd spot of the ranking.

This was the ranking that would be the end ranking too. For Tim Van Parijs in the Porsche 997 GT3 the 3rd spot on the podium was enough for a GT class victory. All other competitors in the GT Class raced in a Porsche 997 GT3. That proves the Porsche to be a reliable rally car.
