2 European Premieres for Porsche

The European Motorshow in Brussels is not exactly the biggest motorshow in Europe. You cannot compare it in anyway to the much larger sister shows in Frankfurt or Geneva. That probably declares why you won’t find the most important premieres at the European Motorshow in Brussels. However, Porsche had 2 European premieres. For the first time in Europe, the audience could see the Porsche 911 Carrera T and a car in the Porsche 718 model range : the Porsche 718 Cayman GTS.  As expected, most of the brands present at the European Motorshow focus on hybrid and full electric cars. The diesel powered cars seem, finally, to disappear. At least that is, the focus is not on those cars, which doesn’t mean you cannot order them anymore.

In hall 12, the D’Ieteren Group showed the most luxurious brands they import in Belgium. Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini and ofcourse Porsche. Seen the number of cars in the catalogue, there’s no surprise both Audi and Porsche covered the greatest part of the exhibition hall. Central was the Bugatti Chiron, a 1500 HP strong monster that costs you 2.5 million Euro, VAT exclusive.  Not the car you’ll come across very often.

In contradiction with previoys car shows in Brussels, Porsche had a quite impressive stand. The 2 main actors in the exhibition of Porsche were ofcourse the cars that had a European premiere : the Porsche 911 Carrera T and the Porsche 718 Cayman GTS, one of the models of the 718 GTS range. Porsche Exclusive showed both a Porsche 911 Turbo S in cabriolet and Coupe version. The fans of race cars can admire the pure pore power excuded by the Porsche 911 RSR and the record holder for the fastest lap on the Nürburgring for street legal cars : the Porsche 911 GT2 RS.
