Porsche announces the successor of Dieter Landenberger
Last august, it was a great surprise for many of us when we heard that Dieter Landenberger was leaving his position as head of the historical archives to become head of the Volkswagen Corporate History. We heard rumors several times about who would be the successor of Dieter Landenberger. Today Porsche confirms the rumors that were widely spread : Frank Jung (40) is the head of the Porsche Historical Archives, as of January 1st 2018.
Frank Jung was the head of the ‘Tradition’ department of the Recaro Holding GmbH in Stuttgart. As a descendant of the founding family of the Stuttgarter Karrosieriewerk Reutter & Co, Frank Jung has a strong connection with both the company Porsche and Zuffenhausen. The Reutter company has been a loyal partner to Porsche from the early beginning in 1931. Frank Jung is author of the books ‘Porsche 356 made by Reutter‘ and ‘Recaro – Seating in motion‘. Frank Jung will concentrate on further digitalizing the Porsche Historical Archives and focus on the requirements for the future.
We would like to welcome Frank Jung as new member of the big Porsche family and wish him all the luck. We are convinced that Frank Jung will continue the great work Dieter Landenberger did for the Porsche Historical Archives.
