The Geneva Motor show is without any doubt one of the most important motor shows worldwide. In that perspective, the number of world premieres and novelties can be considered as quite normal. After all,all manufacturers have to sell their cars, and presenting their new puppies in a great way on a shiny motor showis an exquisite opportunity. Once again, sportscar manufacturers were present in a prominent way in Geneva. Maserati,McLaren, Ferrari and Lamborghini introduced their new models. Maserati celebrated it’s 100th anniversary with the creation of theAlfieri, which can be seen as a tribute to the most prominent of the founding Maserati brothers. The car shown was nothing more thana prototype, but Maserati is seriously considering a production version. McLaren had the MP4-12C, Ferrari brought the California T, and Lamborghinipresented the replacement of the Gallardo, the Huracan which seems to be a huge success, with a waiting list of over a year.

Now ofcourse you are waiting for the novelties that Porsche showed in Geneva. Well, the Porsche Macan was presented at the Brussels Autoshow yet,the Porsche 918 Spyder could be seen in Frankfurt, and everybody knew about the Porsche 911 Targa yet. This year, at the Geneva Car Show, Porsche focusedon the return of the make at the LMP1-class of the World Endurance Championship. The Porsche sports department designed and developed the Porsche 919 Hybrid, which will used in the famous Le Mans 24hours. Challeging since the car has to compete with the so far unvincible Audi TDi’s.

Without any doubt there’ll be written many more words on the rivalry between those 2 cars, both born in the same family.
