Even though Brian Redman was a racing driver with huge succes and an amazing versatility, so far no biographies or books about his life to be found in the bookshops. Finally and luckily it is great to know that this is no longer true. As any great racer of his era, Brian Redman’s racing career has now been but into book form too.

Brian Redman was known as a driver who felt at home at very different races. He won the 1970 Targa Florio in a Porsche 908/3. Completely different  but he won the North American Formula 5000 champion three years running. Jim Mullen has put the remarkable life and racing career of Brian Redman to word in a splendid way. The book is literally packed with pictures, many of them from the personal archives of Brian Redman himself.

Among others, the book has 5 themed chapters. Each chapters has a great overview of Briand Redman’s races at some of the most famous race tracks like Spa Francorchamps, the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe in Le Mans, the Nurburgring in Germany, the Targa Florio in Sicily or the oval circuit of Daytona in Florida. The stories are told by Brian Redman himself, written down by Jim Mullen and they learn us the victories and the crashes.

Brian Redman teamed up with some of the greatest like Jacky Ickx or Jo Siffert, and fought harsh battles on the track against major opponents like Vic Elford or Jim Clarck. He started 5 times in Le Mans, but unfortunately no victory as a result. More succes in Daytona with a 3 time win in 1970, 1976 and 1981.

Brian Redman , daring drivers deadly tracks is a great book, easy to read and enjoy  by any motorsport enthusiast.
