Interclassics Brussels 2016
21008 visitors for Interclassics Brussels 2016
Another successful edition for the Interclassics Brussels, after last year’s inaugural edition. The sister event of the Interclassics Maastricht has exceeded the numbers of the first edition just one year ago. With just over 21.000 visitors that passed the doors of the Brussels Expo to visit the show, even the organisation was overwhelmed by the success. However they might have known as weeks before the event opened the doors, the complete exhibition was sold out, even though they doubled the available exhibition surface.
F1 has caught lots of attention the last months in Belgium. Next to amazing 1st season that Max Verstappen had, next year there will be Stoffel Vandoorne to fight for the Belgian honors in the F1. A good hookup for the organisation to invite one of our former Belgian F1 pilots to open the Interclassics Brussels 2016 : Thierry Boutsen.
2016 Porsche 911R and 1967 Porsche 911R
Exactly as last year, there were numerous Porsches of different ages and conditions that could change hands. It looks like the prices of the Porsche 356 seems to be frozen. At a high level to be clear, and even with a possible correction on the way, we don’t believe prices will drop severely. Prices of the Porsche 911 seem to have no limit. Even the Porsche 912 that used to be less wanted, is now sold at exuberant prices. The true stars of the Interclassics Brussels 2016 for Porsche fans were without any doubt the presence of both a original 1967 Porsche 911R and the 2016 Porsche 911R tribute car. You won’t have the opportunity a lot to see both cars together, as we are told there’s only 2 collectors in the world that have both an original Porsche 911R and a 2016 model. Good to know that the original Porsche 911R at the Interclassics Brussels was the backup car for the 1967 world record run in Monza.
The organisation started work for next year editions so make sure the weekend of 17 – 19 November is marked in your agenda.
