Most people think about Formula 1, car races and the nearby Circuit of Francorchamps when they hear the name of the city Spa in Belgium. And very few of them know, the Casino of Spa in the centre of the city hosts a great Oldtimer Show too.
Collectors from all over Belgium gather in the Casino. And those that visited the place before will be surprised about an Oldtimer Show there. No surprise, as this is not the biggest place to display cars. However, there always are some beauties. But probably the best stuff a collector can find at the Oldtimer Show in Spa are the memorabilia.
Nothing else a few weekends ago. Tables filled with memorabilia, period pictures, brochures, books and posters waiting for a potential customer. Even legends like Willy Braillard and Jean-Pierre Gaban found their way to the Oldtimer Show Spa.
The Eye-catcher of the show for the Porsche fans was the Porsche 917 replica by the South-African Peter Bailey. Not the real deal but that would have been far beyond everyone’s budget.
