Weather predictions weren’t exactly promising for the 43rd edition of the Monteberg Rallyspring : however most part of the race the weathergods kept their moisture in their bucket. Despite that, roads were clearly wet , making it especially difficult for the rear-powered cars to hold the track.

One of victims of this was former champion Patrick Snijers who races a Porsche 997 this year. In contradiction with last race, no gearbox failure this time. Due to a wrong tire-choice, Snijers and his co-pilot Bruneel had to be satisfied with a 10th place after the first stints. After a tire-change, Snijers managed to fight back to a 5th place overall.

Stefan Stouf and his co-pilot Joris Erard are in a winning mood in their Porsche Carrera RS. After a victory in the Historic Class in the TAC rally some weeks ago, they drove their car to another class victory this time, finishing 8th overall.
