Retroclassics Stuttgart 2014
Retroclassics Stuttgart 2014

This 14th edition was the first edition under a new management, and it became immediately an edition of records. Not only on the side of numbers of exhibitors or visitors, respectively 1428 and over 80.000, but on the average visit duration of a visitor too, 5 and a half hours. Such an average duration can only be achieved by a qualitative high standard. The visitors seemed to have done more efforts too to visit the show, as people from all over Europe entered the show. Journalistic coverage from 22 countries including Qatar and India proves the importance of the Retroclassics in the vintage car world.

All exhibitors confirmed that they did good business, which ofcourse is very important for the show to have a high percentage of exhibitors willing to come back next year. Special theme this year at the Retroclassics was ‘Historical French Cars’. The luxurious cars fabricated in France have been the top of the bill until the 60s. Only Bugatti survived, but this doesnt mean cars like Facel-Vega aren’t worth to be conserved for the future.

Ofcourse lots of Porsches in the Stuttgart Retroclassics too. The popularity of the early Porsches 911 became once again very clear when walking through the different halls of the venue. Prices of the Stuttgart cars were on the high side in the Porsche capital too. And the factory did its uppermost best to show the world about their heritage with some amazing cars of the museum and an impressive stand.

March 26 – 29 2015, a date to remember. We’ll see each other in Stuttgart at next year’s edition
