We had to miss the Strähle Swap Meet at the Alte Kelter in Fellbach for a few years. Just like so many other shows, the Strähle Swap Meet had to be postponed and canceled a few times because of Covid. But last November, Paul-Ernst Strähle and his team could finally welcome about one hundred exhibitors and hundreds of visitors to the Alte Kelter in Fellbach, close to Stuttgart.
Together with the International Porsche Collectors Day in the Netherlands, the Strähle Swap Meet is the only Porsche only show that can be compared to the annual Los Angeles Lit and Toy Show. These shows all have in common that it is all about Porsche, and Porsche only.
No matter, what you collect, or what you are looking for when it comes to Porsche, there is a great chance you can score it. Just as in the previous editions, you could find some pretty rare stuff at the show. We heard about the very collectible Liebe zu Ihm book, which changed hands for well over 1.000 Euros. Another buyer was lucky enough to find the 1st edition of the Carrera RS book by Konradsheim.
Funny enough, quite some exhibitors told us that lots of the stuff they sold seemed were not interesting in previous shows. People really wanted to buy, and took their wallets out, after years gathering dust in their pocket.
Next November there will be another Strähle Swap Meet. But before that, better mark April 2 2023 in your agenda for the next edition of the International Porsche Collectors Day at the Porsche Classic Center in Heteren (Netherlands).
