Porsche is honoured marque at the Goodwood Festival of Speed
Introducing the Goodwood Festival of Speed to a bunch of car nuts and petrolheads is like carrying a bucket of water to the sea. Absolutely useless. And telling Porsche fans 2018 is a special year for Porsche is another useless waste of time. The 70th anniversary of the Porsche sportscar is a well-known fact, and reason enough to be celebrated in exhibitions like the Porsche Effect exhibition in the Petersen Automotive Museum. So it won’t surprise any of you that Porsche was the honoured marque at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2018 too. Porsche was present all over and a huge statue with some rare Porsches emphasized the celebrations.
The Goodwood Festival of Speed brings honour to the cars and pilots that deliver the action on the different race tracks over the world. Celebrities like Derek Bell, Jacky Ickx, Jochen Mass, Hans Herrmann and many many others are regular visitors to the festivities at the well known estates of Lord March in Goodwood.
