Porsche fans from all over the world came to the largest swap and exhibition of Porsche model cars worldwide on Saturday 27th of October in the Hans-Peter Porsche dream factory (TraumWerk) in Anger (Berchtesgadener Land, Germany) near the Austria and Salzburg border. Owner and host Mr. Hans-Peter Porsche and organizer Henk Koop, Managing Director of Porsche Model Club Europe, opened the International Porsche Collectors Day at the TraumWerk at 10.00 am.

In addition to the full range of Porsche model cars, there was much more to see such as Porsche books, posters, brochures, art, design, gadgets, accessories, promotional items, magazines, calendars and souvenirs. More than 30 exhibitors from Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France and the USA, as well as numerous interested parties and visitors, saw the presentation of the first model TraumWerk model car, specially produced for this occasion in a limited edition of 356 pieces by Spark Model. The set consists of detailed replicas of two Porsche 356 A 1600 Speedster and Coupe in the scale 1:43 including certificate, hand signed by Hans-Peter Porsche. The original vehicles in the rare color “stone gray” are exhibited in the TraumWerk. On the website of www.hanspeterporsche.com (web shop) collectors can still buy the latest unique 356 sets. However, the expectation is that they will be sold out within a few weeks. Price Euro 169 incl. VAT.

Visitors were also able to enjoy the tin toy exhibition, the model railway system with 360-degree projection, special Porsche cars and culinary delights.

The collectors shared their passion, including Nabil Karam, who has been included in the Guinness Book of World Records several times with his model car collection – he owns 37,777 Porsche models and 577 dioramas and displays them in his Beirut Museum or Bruce Hollander of the Porsche Club of America – and of course Hans-Peter Porsche, who discovered one or two interesting objects for his collection.

We would also like to inform you that the next International Porsche Collectors Day will take place at the Porsche Classic Center in Gelderland, the Netherlands on April 22 2018. It promises to be even better as the International Collectors Day last June at the same location.
