Looking back at the Porsche Classic Coast Tour

On Saturday, August 16, 2025, the Belgian seaside town of De Haan hosted the eighth edition of the Porsche Classic Coast Tour (PCCT). The event once again confirmed its reputation as one of the most elegant gatherings for classic Porsche enthusiasts, bringing together style, history, and passion in a truly unique coastal setting.

A Picturesque Location

The beating heart of the event was the charming park domain La Potinière, located on the Leopoldlaan in De Haan. Throughout the morning, the park transformed into a “Drivers Paddock”. Visitors could admire the timeless beauty of the cars, from early Porsche 356 models to the legendary 911 in its many variations. The event also featured a spectacular departure from the Normandiëlaan and a festive return later in the afternoon. Among the participants you could spot a rare Porsche 356 Zagato Speedster ‘Sanction Lost’. This particular car is one of only 9 produced, and found it’s owner at the Bonhams Zoute GP auction in 2022.

Highlights of the Day

The day started with a morning exhibition of the participating classics, allowing visitors to get up close with these automotive icons. At 10:30 am, the engines roared to life as the tour officially began. Armed with a detailed roadbook, the teams embarked on a scenic 160-kilometer journey through the hinterland of the Belgian coast, making their way toward Knokke for a stylish lunch stop.

The Coast Lunch, served at a unique seaside location, offered participants a refined culinary experience while overlooking the water. In the late afternoon, the Porsches made their splendid return to De Haan, where crowds of enthusiasts awaited their arrival.

The day concluded with a luxury reception at La Potinière, featuring champagne, fine wines, regional beers, and a variety of delicate appetizers. During the reception, the winners of the concours d’élégance were announced, closing the event in fittingly elegant fashion.

Exclusive Participation

True to its philosophy of quality over quantity, the Porsche Classic Coast Tour limited entries to a maximum of 90 cars. This ensured a friendly, intimate atmosphere where every car received the attention it deserved. Each participating team received a rally pack including event stickers, a high-end goody bag with items from State of Art, Motorola, and Porsche, as well as access to all catering and receptions throughout the day.

A Treat for Visitors Too

The event was not only for participants—visitors were warmly welcomed. Admission to the exhibition and start/finish area was free, giving the public the chance to admire some of the finest classic Porsches up close. Owners of other classic cars were even invited to park in a secure zone, turning the area around La Potinière into a living open-air museum of automotive heritage.

Special Focus: The Porsche Targa

Each edition of the PCCT highlights a specific Porsche model, and in 2025 the spotlight was placed on the Porsche Targa. The special exhibition around this model attracted significant attention, tracing its unique history from the 1960s up to the present day and underscoring its enduring appeal among Porsche aficionados.
