Porsche Club Great Britain celebrates 60th anniversary of Carrera’s
Hedingham Castle, a 900 year old Norman castle, stands in 160 acres of lovely landscaped gardens an woodlands. The Lindsay family, descendents o the original owners still live in the castle. Hedingham castle is considered to be the best preserved Norman Castle in England.Each year early September the middle-age Castle in Heddingham, UK is the backdrop for an event that turns out to be the most important events for classic Porsches in the UK, if not in Europe.
60 years Carrera
Theme of this year was the 60th anniversary of the Carrera badged Porsches. You can imagine the variety of cars that participated at this wonderfull event. There were cars of several major private collections, including a representation of the Porsche Museum. The different parades to run up the hill on its own were worth the visit, let alone the hundreds of Porsches at the 2 Porsche only parking lots, one for the pre 1974 Porsches and another one, the Porsche Paddock, for the more modern post 73 Porsches. Next to the different parades and the hundreds of Porsches at the parking lots, the organization made sure no one would go home bored. Several food and drink possibilities, and a succesful Porsche only auction by Coys made the day to another superb Porsche event. One not to be missed in 2016.
