Porsche presents the exclusive Taycan GTS Hockenheimring Edition

On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Hockenheimring, Porsche presents the first special edition based on its electric sports car: the Porsche Taycan GTS Hockenheimring Edition. Many unique details such as the paint finish in stone grey from the “paint-to-sample” program combined with accents in bronzite distinguish this special edition. The interior in black leather has been individualized by Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur with decorative stitching in Iceland Green and many other elements. In several places, the anniversary logo “90 years of the Hockenheimring” refers to the exclusive character of this Taycan GTS. The guiding idea behind the conception of the special edition was to combine the anniversary motto of the Hockenheimring “mobile evolution” with “traditional elegance”. The special edition is available in Germany and other selected European markets.

Exclusive access authorization is also part of the equipment package: customers can use the vehicle key to identify themselves as owners of the special edition. They are then allowed to drive directly to the Porsche Experience Center (PEC) Hockenheimring, which is located in the heart of the race track. This also comes with free charging for two years. Customers can also enjoy preferential parking at the PEC’s so-called “Frühschicht” events, the monthly vehicle gatherings of Porsche enthusiasts.

“With this exclusive special edition, we are not only delighting fans of our all-electric sports car, we are also showing our attachment to the Hockenheimring,” says Alexander Pollich, Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche Deutschland GmbH. “We congratulate the tradition-steeped race track on 90 years of successful history. With the Porsche Experience Center there, the race track has become even more of a home for our brand since 2019.” During the anniversary year, a Porsche Taycan GTS Hockenheimring Edition will be on display as a show car at the Hockenheimring.

The exterior: special color scheme and high-quality anniversary logo

“Fine materials, elegant color combinations and unusual details that we haven’t shown in the Taycan before – that’s what makes this special edition unique,” says Alexander Fabig, Head of Individualisation & Classic at Porsche. The Stone Grey paint finish comes from the “paint-to-sample” program and is reserved for the special edition of the Taycan in the current model year. This timeless, striking Porsche exterior color underlines the emotional character of the electric sports car. Bronzit was developed as a contrasting color to match. Bronzit reinterprets classic metallic tones and provides noble accents in the exterior and interior.

Another eye-catcher is the 21-inch Mission E Design wheel. The rim star is painted in Bronzite (silk gloss), the surrounding rim edge in the exterior color Stone Grey (high gloss). Silk-gloss and high-gloss paints were applied together on one rim. This combination makes the vehicle even more exclusive. Matching the rim star, the wheel trim cover is painted in bronzite (silk gloss) and features a colored Porsche Crest. The brake caliper is painted in black (high gloss).

Other accents painted in Bronzite include the SportDesign side sill trim, the rear diffuser inlay in a slatted design and the “Taycan GTS” model designation on the tailgate. A plaque with a raised anniversary logo sits on the B-pillar and indicates the occasion of the edition. The “Hockenheimring Edition” lettering next to it is in stone grey.

The interior: Icelandic green decorative stitching and Paldao wood

The exterior design concept is continued in the interior. The Icelandic Green stitching contrasts with the black leather interior. This color scheme is a first for the Taycan model range.

Decorative trim in Paldao open-pore wood is another highlight. The selector lever, cup holders and air vents above the center console, as well as the side air vents on the driver and passenger side, are finished in Bronzite. The GT multifunction sports steering wheel has been upgraded with trim in Bronzite as well as decorative stitching and a 12 o’clock marker in Iceland Green. The floor mats are also enhanced with a leather inlay and decorative stitching in Iceland Green.

Another special feature is the embossed Hockenheimring anniversary logo on the lid of the storage compartment in the center console. The door entry panels in brushed aluminum in black display the illuminated model designation “Taycan GTS”. The door projectors cast the anniversary logo onto the floor. The Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur’s attention to detail is also evident in the vehicle key: it is painted in the exterior colour and features a high-quality laser engraving of the anniversary logo.
