2015 was a mythical year for the Porsche Motorsport department. In 2014, after several years of absence Porsche returned as a factory team to the Le Mans 24h with only one mission : overall victory. Unfortunately they didn’t succeed. However, this only meant the Porsche Motorsport department was more motivated to reach the ultimate goal in 2015, knowing that it would be a hard and harsh battle with other competitors, budgets and everything that might come in the way of the ultimate dream : crossing the finish line at the La Sarthe race track in 1st position.
In this book, Porsche Victory 2015, René de Boer and Tim Upietz describe in a detailed way the complete process of the efforts it takes to fulfill a race-team’s dream and bring home the ultimate trophy. They start with the presentation of the Porsche LMP1 and LMP2 cars at Paul Ricard. A technical overview of both the Porsche 919 Hybrid and Porsche 911 RSR, including an in-depth description of the steering-wheels used in both cars.

All the customers teams driving Porsches, and the pilots involved are presented : #67 en #68 Team AAI, #76 Dempsey- Proton Racing, #88 Abu-Dhabi Proton Racing and #91 and #92 Manthey Racing teams.
