Porsche 911R book by Christoph Mäder Thomas Gruber Georg Konradsheim

Limited edition Porsche 911R book looks promising

There’s hardly a Porsche that was so wanted even before it’s official release at the Geneve International Auto Show as the 2016 Porsche 911R. I guess the Porsche 911R book that will be launched soon by TAG Motorbooks is one of the same kind. We know from the publication of the Carrera RS book by Georg Konradsheim, Thomas Gruber and Christoph Mäder that TAG Motorbooks stands for quality and in-depth research. Nothing else will be the truth with this Porsche 911R book that will be published real soon.

We had the opportunity to take a look at the prototype of the book, at the Strähle Swap Meet some weeks ago in Fellbach. Even though the book that we looked at was only a prototype, it was definitely a prototype close to production. The story of both the Porsche 911R models is told. The book covers the early 911R of 1967 of which only 20 cars plus 4 prototypes had been manufactured as well as the new 911R from 2016, that had been sold out on the day it was launched on the exhibition in Geneva.  There will be a list of all the cars including chassisnumbers, colors , … as they left the factory in Zuffenhausen.

The book comes in a silver slipcase, designed with green (german version) or red (english version) stripe. Close to 400 pages tell you all you need and want to know about the Porsche 911R.

The book will be available both in English and German, in a limited edition. The English version is limited to 1500 copies, the German version will only have 991 copies. The price of this book that won’t disappoint you is set at €387.  You can pre-order the book now at TAG Motorbooks
