During the Zoute GP weekend , the presence of tan au has become a tradition. Nothing else this year. There will be another Bonhams Zoute GP Auction in Knokke again. The auction takes place Friday October 11th at the Place Albert in Knokke Heist. 47 lots will cross the block, including 4 child’s Cars and a motorcycle. let’s take a look and have a preview of the Bonhams Zoute GP Auction in Knokke.
The absolute eye-catcher of the auction is a 1965 Ferrari 275 GTB/2 Alloy Long Nose. This matching number car, one of only 60 built, has been certified by Ferrari Classiche. The lucky buyer will be able to enter the car in the most prestigous races of the Peter Auto Championships. However, he definitely will have to dig deep in his wallet.
No such highlights when you see the Porsches in the Bonhams Zoute GP auction catalogue. Only 5 of them will come on the block. We’ve known auctions in Knokke with a far better representation of our beloved car. Our personal favorite is the 1976 Porsche 930 Turbo 3.0 Coupe (see featured image). This matching number car was originally delivered in Germany, in the striking Viper Green. The Porsche 930 Turbo has recently undergone a complete restoration. That includes an overhaul of the engine, and everything showing wear has been replaced.
The Porsche 928 was first unveiled to the public at the 1977 Geneva Salon.In 1978, the Porsche 928 received the Car of the Year award. This particular Porsche 928 left the factory in 1978. That makes it a first production year car. Porsche AG was the first owner of the car. Later the car found a new home in Germany. After a long stay what that same owner, the car changed hands again in 2017 and since then has formed part of the current owner’s private collection of sports cars.
