The region of Roeselare was the place to be early september for the Belgian Rally lovers. In contrast with earlier editions of the Rally Omloop van Vlaanderen, this year very few Porsches could be spotted on the entry list.
3 duos’s took the challenge to complete the rally in a Porsche 911. Patrick Mylleville and Jochen van der Sarre in the Porsche 911 with nr 48. From the same Autostal Atlantich, there was Wouter Lievens and Nico Hoflack in another Porsche 911. From the Duindistel team, Henri Schmelcher and Nico Bollaerts competed the rallye in a Porsche 997 GT3.
In the end results, you can only find Patrick Mylleville and Jochen van der Sarre on the 25th place. Both the other duos had to abandon the race with technical problems. Not a real succes but let’s hope there will be more Porsches with better luck next year.
