Last weekend, on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th of June, the bi-annual concours d’elegance t Loo in Apeldoorn took place. Every 2 year , between 50 and 60 vintage cars come to Paleis t Loo to compete in different classes for victory in the concours d’elegance.
This year the event took our special attention, as it had some amazing Porsches 356 in a class , created especially for the Porsche icon. Isn’t it just thrilling to be able to admire a Porsche 356 Carrera Speedster, of which only just 151 were made in the period of 1955 – 1959, in 2 different model lines : the more ‘luxurious’ GS version, and the lighter and more powerfull GT version which was clearly made for racing.
In addition to the Porsches 356 competing in the concourse d’elegance, some guys brought a visit to the event in their toys. Of course that made the parking lot just great to see with many nice Porsches 356 and early 911s too.
Let’s hope in 2 years, the weather is as good is it was last weekend in Apeldoorn, so we can enjoy this great event with as much joy as this year.
