Just a few weeks after the 2d Spa Classic, the belgian event organiser roadbook.be turned the race-track of Spa Franchorchamps once againinto a big pool of vintage car fun. Unfortunately the weather gods weren’t that much with the organisers as a few weeks ago, but that couldn’t spoil the fun.

Liebe zu Ihm could only be present on Friday, during the training sessions. During some sessions it was literally raining cats and dogs, but the party went on and onand one could feel a great atmosphere, both on and next to the track.

Next to races where mainly British cars like Lotus, Triumph , MG’s participated, for us Porsche aficionados the most intresting were the sessions of the Belgian Historic Cup withfor many of us well known names among the entries , like Jan van Elderen and Audrey Vanham. Another very intresting series was theDutch Championship for Touring and GT cars, with some lovely early Porsches 911 like the 1965 2.0 liter from Chris Mulders.

I had great fun, and too bad I could only visit one day. But I’m really keen on the 2013 edition.
