No need to explain Porsche enthusiasts who Derek Bell is. He won 5 times the Le Mans 24hours, 3 times the Daytona 24hours and was 2 times the World Sports Car Champion. A name that sounds as a clock. A legend.

The Porsche 718 RS60 is the car that gave part of it’s name to the new Porsche 718 Boxster and Porsche 718 Cayman generation. A car that was raced in the sixties. With succes. . Joakim Bonnier and Hans Herrmann surprised the complete world by winning the 1960 Targa Florio in a Porsche 718 RS60. They beated the other competitors, with ease due to the perfect handling and the light weight construction. Many of them in  much more powerful and larger engined race cars. A legend.

The Targa Florio, over 800 curves, one hairpin after the other, from one amazing scenery over a mountaintop to another breath taking landscape. Crossing small villages at a speed one couldn’t image at the time. That was what the legendary Targa Florio race was all about back then.  A legend.
