Time flies. Time flies even faster when you are looking forward to the biggest Porsche event one can imagine .The Porsche Rennsport Reunion VI that will take place in about a week at the Weathertech Laguna Seca Raceway close to Monterey, California. The home of the legendary Cork Screw will host an event that is hard to be equalled. And we’ve seen great events before. How ’bout the 50th anniversary of the Porsche 356 Speedster back in 2004? Or the Porsche Race Car Classic in 2011, an event that collided with the Porsche Rennsport Reunion IV ? There is no doubt the Porsche Rennsport Reunion VI will be fantastic again. The thousands of Porsche fans coming from all over the world will have a weekend never to forget.
Championship winning Porsche race cars, the engineers who designed them, and the men who drove them to victories around the world. They will be allreunited around the track for Porsche Rennsport Reunion VI (RRVI) at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca near Monterey, California, September 27-30. Theme of the 6th edition of this Porsche party is “Marque of Champions”. The Porsche Rennsport Reunion VI focuses on the legends of the brand and will bring together a gather of Porsche race cars, Porsche enthusiasts and Porsche legends as never seen before. Can you image a better celebration for the 70th anniversary of Porsche?
Porsche Legends
Porsche has done a tremendous job bringing no less than a dozen factory drivers to the Porsche Rennsport Reunion VI. That includes Timo Bernhard, Laurens Vanthoor, Kévin Estré, Michael Christensen, Patrick Long to name just a few. More guest are drivers and engineers with names that sound like a clock. Brian Redman, who can be seen as one of the fathers of the Porsche Rennsport Reunion, Vic Elford, Willi Kauhsen… Let us continue with Le Mans Winners like Hurley Haywood, Jacky Ickx, Gijs van Lennep, Derek Bell, Jurgen Barth. Overall, more than 50 drivers will be at the Porsche Rennsport Reunion VI. And that’s not only on the track, but they’re available for autograph sessions and interviews too.
Porsche Club of America and Porsche Heritage Tent
The Porsche 919 Hybrid Evo, which Timo Bernhard drove in his record lap at the Nürburgring will be in the special Champions garage, next to 11 more victorious Porsche race cars. The Porsche Heritage tent will have 70 significant Porsche race cars. The Porsche 356 Number 1 Roadster will make an appearance along with the concept study Mission E too?.
Thousands of Porsche fans will attend the Porsche Rennsport Reunion bringing their favorite Porsche’s to the huge parking of the Porsche Club of America. And don’t forget the village where you’ll find shops to buy the book you miss in your Porsche library, or the memorabilia you’ve always wanted.
Linking the rich history of Porsche cars to the future of e-mobility, the 356 “No. 1” Roadster will make an appearance along with the all-electric Concept Study Mission E. The “No. 1” will be in the Porsche Paddock Hospitality area while the Mission E will be shown in the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur area. Other displays include more than 1,300 cars in the Porsche Club of America corrals and 70 significant race cars in the Porsche Heritage tent.

Overall, there will be 350 Porsche race cars competing in seven different classes, spanning from the 356 through the 917 to modern 911 GT cars, and many more.
So far no exact and complete entrylist is available for the races, but it is sure that close to 350 Porsche race cars will be competing in the seven different classes. The complete history of Porsche will be covered, from the early Porsche 356 through the iconic Porsche 917 over the unbeatable Porsche 956 and Porsche 962 to the modern Porsche 911 GT cars.
