Jacky Ickx will remain a legendary car racing driver forever. A Belgian icon, which cherishes a close link with the Porsche brand. Porsche Belgium is very proud to have received permission from Porsche AG to pay tribute to our national legend by producing a very special Porsche : the Porsche 911 Carrera 4S “Belgian Legend Edition”.
With his many successes in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Paris-Dakar, Formula 1 and his titles in the World Endurance Championship of 1982 and 1983, Jacky Ickx has one of the best filled and most remarkable lists of honour in the history of motorsport. His career has lasted for more than three decades. Still today, Jacky Icxk remains a true reference. Porsche Belgium now has the immense privilege of honouring Jacky Ickx’s unique racing talent and highlighting the man’s undeniable contribution to Belgian motorsport.
Over a period of 18 months, a team of automotive, design and production experts designed a unique and timeless Porsche 911. Jacky Ickx supported the team by bringing his personal touch to the car. The result is truly worthy of the legend of Jacky Ickx. This Porsche 911 (992) Carrera 4S “Belgian Legend Edition” will be built only 75 times, to celebrate Jacky Ickx’s 75th birthday in 2020.
Unique and exclusive equipment
In addition to the already extensive standard equipment of a Porsche 911 Carrera 4S, this “Belgian Legend Edition” has a whole range of unique and exclusive extras. From an aesthetic point of view, the body colour on steel “X Blue”, a colour that is identical to that of the Jacky Ickx helmet, should certainly be emphasised. There are also specially designed rims with a white stripe, a reference to Jacky Ickx’s helmet, and the Belgian flag badge with Jacky Ickx’s name and signature on the driver’s side.
Inside, Jacky Ickx’ signature is on the central armrest; a Pebble Grey cross stitch on the dashboard and the door panels; door sills with the “Belgian Legend Edition” logo; a Pebble Grey piping on the sport plus seats; an ignition key in the “X Blue” version with the signature of Jacky Ickx and a personalized key bag to go with it.
Finally, this 911 Carrera 4S “Belgian Legend Edition” is also accompanied by a miniature version of the car, with serial number; a photo book about the production of the car, including the chassis number and a letter signed by Jacky Ickx.
The Porsche 911 Carrera 4S “Belgian Legend Edition” is powered by a six-cylinder boxer engine of 2,981 cc, good for 331 kW / 450 hp. It is now available in the official Porsche Centres in Belgium, for the price of 199.911 € incl. VAT.
