Zolder 24 Hours… fun in Belgium !!

Last weekend, in Zolder (Limburg, Belgium) a large crowd came together to enjoy the 24h spectacle which is organised on a yearly base. Ofcourse the 24H endurance race is the main attraction , but there’s much more to enjoy at the racetrack of Zolder during this weekend.

In case you like vintage car racing, you could enjoy the Bravo Historic Championship. Jan Van Elderen won this race in his Porsche 911 RS, former dutch Rallycross Champion Division II Cor van Ham missed the podium and achieved a 6th place in his Porsche 934RSR.

In the Dunlop Sport Max Endurance Cup competed some Porsches too. 6 of them achieved a top 10 ranking, which pleases me a lot. Click to see the resultlist of this race

Main event was the 24h race, which ended in an overwhelming win for the competing Porsches. No less then 8 Porsches in the top 10. The complete Podium was for Porsche. The duo Couwberghs-Maes-“Heinz”-Sluys won in their Porsche 911 GT3 Cup S. 2nd place for Lagrange-Nelissen Grade-Verbist-Leest in the Porsche 997GT3 Cup and 3rd for Pulinx-Fumal-Palttala-Menten in the Porsche 996RS.
