RM Sotheby’s auctions The Porsche White collection

RM Sotheby’s recently announced that it is thrilled to unveil “The White Collection” auction. For the rare specimens among us who don’t know what we’re talking about, here’s a short reminder. ‘The White Collection’ is the result of over a decade of collecting by a single owner, focused to perfection, and with a passion for the color white. A total number of 63 cars will cross the block, and no less than 56 of them are Porsches. And to make it even more special, all of these are painted white or a color that is very close to it, as the name of the collection assumes.

Beyond that, ‘The White Collection’ which will be hammered, includes two Porsche tractors. Top all this candy of with a variety of other Porsche memorabilia in mint condition, and the complete auction counts over 500 lots in total.

2015 Porsche 918Weissach’ Spyder (Chassis WP0CA2A13FS800656)

One of the pinnacles of the auction is a 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder painted Grand Prix White with a blue interior, equipped with the optional Weissach pack. The car has covered just 12 miles from new which justifies the estimated hammer price of $2.5 million to $3 million.

1993 Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.8 (Chassis WP0ZZZ96ZPS496109)

Another rarity is the 1993 Porsche 911 Carrera RSR. It is one of just over 50 cars, and the last of the production line, the 2nd of just 2 “Strassenversion” RSRs built by Porsche Motorsport with a fully appointed leather interior. And to make it even more special, this car has on only 70 km on the counter, and retains it original tires and numbers-matching engine and gearbox.

The aptly named White Collection is housed in an equally white Houston, Texas warehouse, described by Sotheby’s as a “Porsche sanctuary” and where the cars will be auctioned 1-2 December. More information can be found at https://rmsothebys.com/en/home/lots/wc23
